I am planning to spend about 1 week in Zermatt in January next year with some family and friends, a combination of boarders, skiers and readers. It will be the first time I return in more than 20 years. i was wondering if anyone has been there recently who can answer some questions: is January still considered shoulder season? do you know of any good value for money accomodation (hotel, apart-hotel or apartment)? 20 years ago the Hotel Post comes to mind. Do any of the local board shops rent out carving boards and boots or do I need to take my own? Any information will be greatly appreciated |

I might do it on my own, but still I am lucky to get a lot of support from my close friends. By having encounter with them, I notice that many of them like to send gifts before New Year's Eve, in order to make other people get prepared here for an unforgettable night. My friends will help me to make the cards by giving some simple information regarding to their personality. No matter what type of person they are, I know that it is meaningful if they can have some happy time together with their families and friends during this special occasion.

I have not been to Zermatt for a long time, but this ski resort used to be considered the best in Switzerland.

I was in Zermatt last year, I really liked it. We skied there for a whole week; it was very cool. We were there just in January, and it's still considered off-season. In Zermatt, you can rent skis in many places. My only regret is that I didn't see much. For example, when I was in Prague, I found the site https://www.freetour.com/prague and rented a very cool tour and saw a lot of sights. I will definitely return to Zermatt to see all the beauties.
