German jib crane manufacturer Vetter Krantechnik has installed nine wall-mounted ‘Geselle’ slewing cranes at a manufacturer of hydraulic components. The wall-mounted slewing crane specified is available in capacities up to 10 tons, and can be used for “easy and efficient” machine charging or repair works on the machine. According to Vetter, the cranes help free up floor space while crane movements, such as lifting/lowering, travelling and slewing are controlled with a pendant control, which can separately be moved on the jib and is operated by one person only. Following Vetter’s installation, each workplace at the family-owned manufacturer has its own electrically driven crane and is almost completely independent of the overhead crane.
