What is Umrah? It is an Islamic pilgrimage to the holy city of Makkah, performed by Muslims at any time of the year. Unlike Hajj, which has specific dates and is obligatory for those who can undertake it, Umrah is considered a non-mandatory but highly recommended act of worship. The pilgrimage involves several rituals, including entering the state of ihram, performing Tawaf (circumambulating the Kaaba), and completing Sa'i (walking between the hills of Safa and Marwah). Although it holds great spiritual significance, the rewards for performing Umrah are believed to be immense, fostering a deeper connection with Allah. | |
