Profile of Pakistan Flat Rolled Steel Mill
A**a Steel Mills Limited is a Group Company, which was founded in 2005 and began commercial operations in 2012. It is one of the largest manufacturers of Flat Rolled Steel – Cold Rolled and Hot Dipped Galvanized coils and is based in Port Qasim, Karachi, the most suitable plant location for the export market.
It is a very influential local steel company, mainly producing cold-rolled steel, hot-dip galvanized coils and other steel products, located in Karachi.
Initial inquiry
In February 2016, received the steel mill overhead crane inquiry from the Pakistan Steel Mill with the following information .
30ton -21.966M Span, Lifting Height :9m, A7 working level, remote control, double girder bridge crane, the customer specially mentioned that the continuous rate of all motors must be 60%.
So far the Pakistan customer has 2 sets of existing cranes, including a 30 ton overhead crane and 25 ton overhead crane cranes at the same bay, and now , and he plans to add another 30 ton overhead crane on the same span and requires both remote control and ground operation.
In the subsequent communication, the steel mill customer required the hoisting motor to reach 100% duty cycle, 60% of the running motor, variable frequency for all speeds, and a C-type hook spreader. Besides, the brand of the motor was specified as Siemens and Schneider Electric. The Pakistan customer also indicated that he would visit the factory during production at least 2 times to supervise production.
Crane Factory Visiting
In late October 2016, the business manager and engineer visited Pakistan and the customer and inspected the work site. This visit established a foundation of trust for both parties. The Pakistan steel mill customer planned to expand the factory and sent a new inquiry.
