Friend of mine lost his Indonesian Sim card and needs a replacement with same number.

Hello everyone reading this.
Bit of a general question.

Friend of mine who had an Indonesian Sim and is currently travelling in Thailand, lost his Indonesian Sim card and is asking me to get him a replacement with the same phone number.

He needs this as most of his phone Apps use this number to verify his ID when logging in to the apps and websites for 2Fa, so send OTP's.

Is there anyone here who can give me a little information with regards to my best course of action.

The person that the SIM is registered to will have to contact the service provider that they use. Most of the time, this will need to be done in person to get a replacement. It's possible that they might make some kind of concession but not likely. They don't want it to be easy to get a SIM for someone elses number.

Losing a SIM card can be a real hassle, but don’t worry, there are plenty of ways to sort this out.

If you’re looking for a replacement, you might want to check out *****. They offer a variety of SIM cards that are perfect for international travelers. I used them when I lost mine, and their customer service was super helpful and quick to respond. Just make sure to have your ID handy and contact your carrier if you need to keep the same number. Hope you get this sorted out soon!
