Completing ratings separately seems straightforward, but an integrated approach could potentially make better use of required flight hours. For pilots who've combined instrument and commercial training, did it make the process more efficient or did focusing on two sets of skills at once make training harder? The commercial program specifically describes an integrated Instrument/Commercial pathway.

I realize this is from a while ago, but I’ve been wondering the same thing. Did anyone here go the integrated route? I’m curious if splitting the training makes it easier to focus, or if combining really does cut down total hours.

Combining instrument and commercial into one pathway saves time by using the same cross-country hours for both
I went through commercial pilot training at American Flyers and their integrated structure kept me focused
The personalized instruction made juggling two skill sets feel manageable rather than overwhelming
