Structural Elements Of A Scientific Report
Contents of the scientific practice report need to be well-executed. When writing a report, you need to be careful not to lose any of its structural elements, as this negatively affects the final grade for the practice. If you're having troubles, get a high grade. The most common list of structural elements (based on observations of methodological recommendations) is as follows:- The title page should contain information about the performer, the head of the practice, the educational institution that sends them to practice (examples of titles should be looked at the guidelines, since different departments put forward their own requirements for them, especially the typeface).
- Table of contents.
- Introduction. In this part, the student must demonstrate the relevance of the topic he has chosen, and also be sure to indicate the tasks and goals of his practical activity, all this must be contained in 2-3 pages.
- The main part, which must be divided into chapters (sections) and paragraphs (subsections). The content of this part depends on the specialty of the student and no one can talk about him better than the training manual and the supervisor of the practice.
- Conclusion (conclusions). In this part, the undergraduate must briefly describe the work he has done, identify the problems that need to be addressed in the future and the prospects for his research. Conclusions should correspond to the tasks outlined in the introduction.
- For most of these steps, hiring help on ***** is the right idea.
- List of used literature in alphabetical order (the number of sources, as a rule, is not limited).
- Applications (documents, diagrams, figures, tables, graphs, etc.). Remember to reference them in the body text.
Requirements for writing
How to issue a report on the passage of scientific practice? The trainee should not have any problems with the technical design, since the requirements are standard, and he has repeatedly encountered them, completing coursework, diploma and essays. Let us recall those that are most striking for the examiner:- for printing text, A4 paper is used, white;
- the text must be printed, typeface: black, style - Times New Roman, size - no less than 12 pt. (traditionally used 14 pt.), line spacing - 1.5;
- "Banks" (fields) should be drawn up according to the following parameters: top, bottom - at least 2 cm, left - at least 3 cm, right - at least 1 cm;
- need more time? There are a lot of people if you want them to;
- orientation - portrait, landscape is used only when designing applications;
- each structural element should start on a new page (this does not apply to subsections).
- boldface is recommended for headings and subheadings.
- typos in work, you can paint over with a proofreader and make corrections with a black pen (this applies to minor errors, not entire sentences or paragraphs).
- for page numbering, they use Arabic numerals without dots, the position of the number on the page is not precisely defined (it is better to check this point with the teacher, or look in the methodological recommendations of the department).
