When going through some old moving boxes, I found some cufflinks that I inherited from an old friend of the family.
These look like they should be silver. There are stamps (on one of each pair).
They say
STERLING
3m
TAXCCMEXICO
and a couple of characters inbetween...
as well as a sign of a eagle (?) with a 3 in it.
These would probably be from the first half of the last century. Supposedly german, though does this say Mexico?
Does anyone know these hallmarks?

Yes, it's probably Mexican silver. It must look spectacular on a black shirt. If you had a tie with a similar pattern to the cufflinks, it would look like an ensemble.

Interesting cufflinks. And not at all gaudy. I prefer quiet tones myself, even with a pattern. And the fact that with such cufflinks, it would be nice to add a tie to the ensemble, that's for sure. I love the classics, and I have a few options for ties. It's a little easier with ties. As for cufflinks, I search online for them on sites like ***** to ensure they match the tone of the shirt and match the ties. When you adjust the knot on your connection or raise your glass, the cufflinks and tie blend into one ensemble, and it looks gorgeous. If you haven't tried this option yet, I suggest giving it a try.
