Hello,
I'd like to bring this awesome new video editor to your attention.
It's still in the alpha phase but this project is very promising and it's quite functional.
There is an AppImage version of it too, so you can just start it without any hassle on Gentoo for now.

It's a cool thing. But in my google chrome it's slow. Maybe you have a lighter version?

Hey. It's time for you to update this post since you probably modified this video editor. I want to try it, but for some reason I can't follow your link. So update the post, and change the link if you can. I'll be waiting for it. In the meantime, I'm working on a simple video editor from *****. I rarely apply complex effects. Most of the time I use color presets, add subtitles and light transitions. You've probably heard of Movavi. It's pretty popular software. But I only use its web version.
