Having spent a large number of long stay winters in Spain,bit undecided at the moment what to do this winter,both my wife and myself long to go again,but!
What with the higher costs, fuel,ferry,cost of living,(Spain) etc.
Restrictions, extra paperwork, ninety days limit, health insurance, exchange rates.
Plus our ages,me 80,partner 85, but both in pretty good health,eyesight good etc.
We go for the sun and friendship,but our friends are rapidly dropping away, sun,usually ok.
Do we listen to our brains? Or our hearts?
Will have to decide soon or we might not get on ferry! (Portsmouth to Santander)
Please don’t suggest hotel or apartment,tried,hate both!.
Anybody else with this predicament?

I can understand you, my relatives live in Seville and we used to visit them for Christmas, together with my husband. However, due to some problems we weren`t able to visit them this Christmas, so perhaps we `ll come next summer. All these complications with paperwork are of course always a pressure, but every time I`ve come to Spain these problems have gone by the wayside. We`d also very much like to visit again the *****, this resort is very similar. But we`ll probably have to skip it next year. I already have a hard time with long flights and I`m not sure if we`ll actually fly to Spain. But, as for you I`d advise you to go.
