Well...Went through AOPA for a loan on a Super Cub and they put me in touch with Mike Jacobs......worst experience ever!!!! He does an evaluation on planes and apparently owns the bank as well. He has cost me 2 cubs because he has appraised them so low. I decided to switch planes and look at the C180/185....same thing!!!! He obviously knows nothing about plane values. Just want folks to be aware, from what AOPA has said....he has a reputation.

I'm sorry for your bad experience. Most likely, the person you were contacted was incompetent and decided to deceive you for his own benefit. In fact, I am terrified of falling for scammers and worry whenever I want to take out a loan. The last time I decided to take out a mortgage for a few years to buy a home because the interest rate was lower than the loan. So before I took out a mortgage, I consulted ***** and ensured I could afford it and wouldn't run into scammers. Please be careful next time because it is hard to trust anyone nowadays.
