What shocked you the most about being an Airbnb host?

We've been using it for a couple of years now, and it's mostly fine. Until the incident this year. Our property manager booked a gentleman into our room for about 3-4 days. We have an apartment in a ski town, and it's connected to other apartments. Apparently they were having wild parties until about 4am, disturbing the other tenants. When our cleaning lady found the place, they threw up and peed on the back of the bathroom door, the acid eating away some of the stained trim. They left used condoms in the beds. The sheets were stained, the pillows were gone. They took the beer caps off the cans and carved them into the table. It was a brand new table, only one person had stayed there before. AirBNB gave us $75. That didn't even cover the cleaning fee. We submitted pictures of the damage and still... $75. We just started checking them out better. I would have kept them altogether if we weren't getting so many orders from them. I wonder if the jerk was even banned on AirBNB?

Hello, I sympathize with you because there are such people everywhere, to be honest, it is difficult to call them people - they are animals, because of such people one does not want to do a good job, because AirBnb is a very convenient service that suffers because of such people.

Hi all, this really is a very unpleasant situation, I hope you don't have to deal with something like this again. You can try using ***** from IGMS, it will help you easily control and direct your team to troubleshoot and solve problems related to your airbnb. I hope this helps you out. Good luck!!!

Hosting on Airbnb has been a real eye-opener for me. One thing that caught me off guard was how much goes into being a host beyond just having a spare room. I mean, you've got to be on it with communication, cleaning, and even little details like stocking toiletries!

It's like running a mini-hotel sometimes, but way more personal. Plus, dealing with different guests can be a rollercoaster—you never know who you're gonna get! But it's been rewarding too. Seeing people enjoy their stay at ***** makes all the effort worth it. It's taught me to be organized and adaptable, that's for sure!
