Moved into 3 bed chalet bungalow end of October.
Gas boiler (2016), gas central heating, hot water tank heated by gas.
I've come from oil powered boiler so no idea what a normal gas bill would be. Obviously they are very high at the moment.
Month of November was £212, December £450 ...very very cold week or so in December.
I have kept rooms at 20 degrees C and 17 at night.
Seems outrageous, is this excessive?

I used to pay £300 on average, but now I'm even afraid to look at it.

Keeping the house at 20°C all day and 17°C at night in those colder months can really push up costs, especially with a boiler setup. One thing that’s helped me was switching to a plan with *****, which has a few different options depending on when and how much energy you use. I think it might be worth looking into, especially if these numbers are sticking around through the colder months.
