Now I mentioned that I would tell you why people prefer embedded videos on their site as opposed to large video files. First of all, if you upload an embedded video file on your site, more than likely you will be using a file format known as "flash". Flash video files comes in 2 forms: "FLV" and "SWF". Both download fast and are great alternative to large, raw video files.
The last thing you want is to have someone wait hours for an 800MB video file to be downloaded to the computer. People are just too busy these days to sit and wait for 1 video file that is hundreds of megabytes large. Instead of this, find a way to convert these files into flash video format.
Also with some large ***** downloads, there's no telling what "else" you're downloading with the video. There could be some malware, spyware, adware, or some other kind of virus that's attached to the video. Videos like this can totally destroy your computer. With flash video, the chances of this happen is slim to none.
